Users and roles
What each role can do, and how to change it for your workspace.
Every member has a role: Owner, Admin, Editor or Viewer. Your workspace decides exactly what each role can do on Users & roles → Roles & permissions (you need Manage users). Members are covered in Inviting your team.
Permissions
| Permission | What it opens | Who has it to begin with |
|---|---|---|
| View analytics | The dashboard and each form's Analytics tab | Admin, Editor, Viewer |

| Publish forms | Publishing, unpublishing and the Publish tab | Admin, Editor |
| Manage routing | The Routing tab | Admin, Editor |
| Reply to support tickets | The helpdesk | Admin, Editor |
| Edit theme & pages | Theme and Pages | Admin |
| Manage banned words | Banned words | Admin |
| Manage users | Users & roles | Admin |
| Manage billing | Billing | Owner only |
Click a box to give or take a permission. It applies straight away to everyone with that role, and the sidebar hides what a role can't open.
- Owners always have every permission, and their column can't be changed.
- You can't take Manage users away from your own role, so nobody locks themselves out by accident.
- Every member can always see the forms list, preview forms and read submissions.
Changes to members and permissions are kept in OurForms's activity log.
