AI assistants
Connect an AI assistant such as Claude to your workspace with a personal token.
An AI assistant that supports MCP (the Model Context Protocol) can work with your workspace for you: find forms, read submissions, set decisions, check analytics, draft new forms and reply to support tickets. It acts as you, so it can only do what your role allows.
Connect an assistant
- Open AI assistants in the sidebar.
- Name the token after the assistant (for example "Claude on my laptop"), choose when it expires, and press Create token.
- Copy the token, or the ready-made settings, into your assistant's MCP configuration. The token is only shown once.
The assistant connects to your-workspace.ourforms.app/mcp.
What it can do
- Forms: list them, read their questions, and create draft forms. You review and publish them yourself in the builder.
- Submissions: read answers (files are named, not opened) and set decisions. Setting a decision doesn't email anyone.
- Analytics: views, starts, completions and where people came from.
- Helpdesk: read tickets and reply. A reply is emailed to the requester straight away, so check the wording first.
Keep it safe
Anyone with your token can act as you in this workspace, so treat it like a password. Revoke a token you no longer use, or if it may have leaked. Owners and admins who manage users can see and revoke everyone's tokens. Removing someone from the workspace removes their tokens too.
