Sharing: link, embed and QR code
Change the form's address, embed it on your website, and print a QR code.
Everything here is on the form's Publish tab, in Link & embed.
The link
Your form's address is your-workspace.ourforms.app/f/your-form. Edit the part after /f/ and press Enter to change it — use lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens. Copy copies the full link.
Changing the address breaks links you've already shared, including printed QR codes made before the change.
Embed it on your website
Copy the embed code and paste it into your site's HTML where the form should appear. It's a single line:
<script src="https://your-workspace.ourforms.app/embed.js" data-formkit="your-form" async></script>
The form loads in a frame that grows and shrinks to fit as visitors move through it. Responses from embeds show the source embed in your submissions and analytics. Password-protected forms work embedded too.
Only on your sites
By default any website can embed your forms. To stop others showing them on theirs, open Embedding in the sidebar and add your sites — for example acme.com, or *.acme.com to cover its subdomains (add acme.com as well if forms also appear there). From then on, browsers only show your forms embedded on those sites and your workspace's own pages; anywhere else the frame stays blank.
Every form uses the workspace's sites unless you give it its own list: on the form's Publish tab, under Allowed sites, choose This form only. That copies the workspace's sites to the form, and you can add or remove sites for that form alone. Choose Workspace sites to go back to the shared list. The Embedding page lists the forms that have their own.
Allowed sites control where forms can be embedded, not who can open them: the link still works for anyone who has it. Use a password if a form shouldn't be reachable outside your site.
Embed-only forms
To stop a form opening from its link, turn on Only open where it's embedded on its Publish tab. The link and QR code then show a notice instead of the questions. Add allowed sites as well, otherwise any site can embed it.
Blocked sites
The Embedding page lists sites that tried to show one of your forms without being allowed. If you recognise a site, choose Allow to add it to the list that form uses. Otherwise choose Dismiss.
QR code
Press Generate QR code to show a code for your form's link. Download PNG saves a high-resolution image for posters, flyers and event check-in. Scans are recorded with the source qr, so you can see how many responses came from print.
The QR code always points at the form's current address. Remove hides it from the Publish tab.
Tracking where people come from
Add ?src= and a short label to any link you share — for example …/f/your-form?src=newsletter — and responses from that link show newsletter as their source.
